Färsk potatis! (Fresh potatoes!)

I have my official residence permit now! I am allowed to stay in Norway until the 31st of May. The people at my school are pretty sweet. There was no school on Sunday so most of the students went to a firepit in the woods on Saturday and partied. One dude passed out and slept in a growth of nettles. My freeride class is awesome, last Wednesday we filmed some longboarding but today it rained so we stayed inside and watched snowboarding movies. Kim Andre (the hilarious naked boy from Norway's Got Talent) is going to be starring in another televised stunt on the Norwegian version of "X-factor", I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself! Here is a cool video my friend Andreas showed me, it's in swedish- she is asking for a fresh potato.

Det er bra! (It's good!)

A girl at my school brought a synth, a Roland Juno-D to be exact, quite similar to my Juno-G which is nice. I still need to talk to the band teacher here about being able to use the studio. The longboards they have at the school are pretty shitty. There are two other international students, one girl from Germany, another from Denmark and one second year student from Sweden (Second-year students mostly just help teachers). All the other students come from all parts of Norway, each with their own dialect. Making it hard to learn the language. Kim Andre- the guy in the youtube video I posted is probably the most pervented-minded individual I've ever met, he is funny in small doses.
A teacher's sons broke his arm on the halfpipe two days ago, I used my synth manual and a shoelace to make him a splint. I am physically exhausted from all the activity around here. I've been trampolining, skateboarding, longboarding, drumming, and slacklining. SO MUCH FUN! Meals are all the same. Most meals consist of coldboard which is a typical scandinavian buffet of bread and sandwich toppings. There are corn flakes for breakfast :) I just learned today that Gorgoroth is playing in Trondheim on the 19th of October, during our fall break! AWESOME!

Cool names

Here are some awesome names I have encountered thus far:

-Knut
-Kurt-Are
-Ragnhild
-Thor
-Bjorn Olav
-Barbro

There are probably around 20 students at the school now. Three of the students are in my Freeride and video production course, 2 skiers and 1 snowboarder. There are seposed to be 60ish students at the school all together, most of them will arrive today. Hopefully I can remember all their names! In other news, I am finding it alot easier to write Slagsmåsklubben now that I am writing on a keybøard with åll thæse råd lætters.

DØRM!

This is my room in Norway, I lit some insense last night so it is nice smelling!

Norway! No way!

I am in Norway! To those who don't know, I am going to school in Norway for 9 months at Namdals Folkehogskolen(Folk High Shool- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Folk_high_school). I left Saskatoon at 2:15PM on the 18th and arrived at my school at 9:30PM on the 19th. Here are some interesting points about my trip:

-While I was walking around the Toronto airport I saw Belly, the ¨rebellyus¨ Canadian rapper, he was being really phat.

-In the Reykjavik airport in Iceland the airport security rode on scooters.

-The Værnes airport, where I landed, is located in Hell, Norway.

I was picked up in Grong, Norway by my teacher and 3 second-year students. My teacher had just bought some longboards for the students to use. I used one today. My school is really cool, it has a radio broadcasting station, a sauna, a music production studio, a pool table, a ping pong table, a half-pipe, and in the winter there is a ski jump. I am staying in a dorm but I don't know who my roommate is because I am the only first-year student here so far because classes don't start until the 22nd.
